Campus France Chad has published its 2026-2027 campaign calendar for the 2027 intake: the Études en France platform has been open since 1 October 2026 and closes on 10 December 2026 for first-year bachelor's, on 31 January 2027 for second and third-year bachelor's and master's. This guide follows the route specific to Chad: the office in N'Djamena, the fees, the compulsory in-person interview, then the visa, which is filed directly at the consulate, on the premises of the French embassy. For the general logic of the platform, see also our complete Campus France guide.
Campus France Chad: who does it apply to?
Part of the French embassy's cooperation and cultural action department, the Campus France Chad office is for Chadian or foreign students, not EU nationals, who live in Chad. The residence rule works both ways: a Chadian living in Cameroon applies to Campus France Cameroon (unless they travel back and forth for the interview and the visa), and a Cameroonian living in Chad applies to Campus France Chad.
| Your project | Procedure | Calendar |
|---|---|---|
| First-year bachelor's (DAP) | Application on Études en France | From 1 October to 10 December 2026 |
| Second and third-year bachelor's, master's 1 and 2 (non-DAP) | Application on Études en France | From 1 October 2026 to 31 January 2027 |
| Non-connected institution (private, procedure outside the platform) | Direct admission, then "Je suis accepté" | From 1 June to 15 July 2027 |
| BTS, CPGE | Parcoursup, then "Je suis accepté" | According to the Parcoursup calendar |
The office is categorical about two platforms. Parcoursup is open to applicants from Chad only for BTS and CPGE. E-candidat is reserved for French students: applying there is a misuse of procedure, penalised by a visa refusal.
The Campus France office in Chad
The office receives applicants in N'Djamena, in its premises next to the phone market by Moov Africa's head office ("gar Tigo").
| Days | Opening hours |
|---|---|
| Monday to Thursday | 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, then 2 pm to 5 pm |
| Friday | 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, then 1.30 pm to 4 pm |
You can reach it by email at campusfrance@institut-francais-tchad.org, with your TD number in the subject line, or on 69 01 65 05 and 95 62 00 21. The office offers individual guidance interviews, group information sessions and a room equipped with computers. It says it plainly: it has no relationship with any agency or cybercafé, and strongly advises against their services, which harm applicants' files.
The Campus France Chad procedure step by step
An admission obtained one year is not valid for the next: it is granted for specific dates.
Campus France Chad dates 2026-2027
| Date | Step |
|---|---|
| 1 October 2026 | Études en France platform opens |
| 10 December 2026 | Closing for first-year bachelor's (DAP) |
| 31 January 2027 | Closing for second and third-year bachelor's and master's |

| 31 May 2027 | Final choice, at the latest (national DAP date) |

Campus France Chad insists: it is the applicants' responsibility to keep to this calendar, and no extension will be granted. First-year bachelor's closes five days before the national date of 15 December. The comparison with other countries is in our Campus France calendar 2027-2028.
Campus France fees in Chad
The file fee is paid once the file is submitted, and only after the email from Campus France Chad asking for it; that email sets out how to pay. The office's website does not publish the amount for 2026-2027: rely on the payment request you will receive, and pay nothing to an intermediary. The receipt then appears in your account, under the "je suis candidat" tab, "quittance de paiement" section. The full budget for leaving, CVEC and tuition included, is in our article on Campus France fees.
French test: check according to your schooling
Chad has two official languages, French and Arabic. The official notice for the prior admission application therefore lists it among countries where French is an official language but not the only one: you are exempt from the TCF for a first-year bachelor's only if most of your secondary education was in French. An Arabic-speaking baccalauréat holder should plan for a test. For everyone, Campus France Chad considers the DELF or DALF not compulsory, but very strongly recommended, and the interview is also used to confirm your level of French. Details are in our article on the Campus France French test.
The Campus France interview in Chad
The academic interview is compulsory, even if you have already been admitted to a programme. It takes place in person only, at the office: no exception by phone or video call. It lasts about 20 minutes and is only possible once the fee is paid and the file validated. You book it on Études en France after the message inviting you to do so.
The interview assesses the coherence of your project, your seriousness and your motivation, and it is used to authenticate your documents. Prepare to present your study and career plan in a few minutes, and read up on each programme you chose and on life in France. Be careful: in case of unjustified absence, no other interview is scheduled and the application is cancelled. Tell the office in advance if you cannot come. Our guide to the Campus France interview covers the typical questions.
Forged documents: the announced penalty
Campus France Chad puts it in black and white: a file containing forged documents, whether you uploaded them yourself or an agency did, is not processed and leads to a five-year ban on staying in France, without exception. One more reason to keep sole control of your account. If all your replies are negative, our advice after a Campus France refusal helps you plan the next step.
The student visa from Chad: at the embassy
In Chad there is no outsourced provider: the visa application is made directly at the consulate, on the premises of the French embassy, by appointment. An appointment receipt arrives by email with the date and time; arrive ten minutes early. Filing is only possible three months before classes start: for a 1 September start, not before 1 June. For a first-year bachelor's, the baccalauréat diploma is required when you file.
The list of documents published by the office (updated on 15 February 2026) includes:
| Document | Detail |
|---|---|
| France-Visas form | With a photo less than 6 months old, face 30 to 35 mm |
| Passport | Valid for at least 1 year and 3 months, with a copy |
| Visa fee | 33,000 XAF in cash, exact amount |
| Prior enrolment approval | Issued through the Études en France procedure |
| Birth certificate | Original and photocopy |
| Sponsor | Statement of financial support, identity document, proof of occupation, last three payslips, bank statement |
| Resources | Certificate of a standing bank transfer order, or the student's bank statement for a single transfer |
| Accommodation | Lease or booking, or accommodation certificate with the host's identity document and proof of address |
A minor student adds the legal guardian's authorisation and a financial support undertaking. The minimum resources required of a foreign student are €877.50 per month since 1 August 2026. Our guide to proving your resources lists accepted evidence, and the one on the student visa application covers the whole file. Only the consulate decides whether to issue the visa.
Scholarships, budget and preparation
The Campus France simulator (in French) places your profile in a few minutes; its thresholds are measured on admitted Beninese students and only give a rough idea for a Chadian applicant. Our directory gathers the scholarships open to Chadian students (in French), including the Eiffel scholarship (in French) for master's, and our overview of scholarships to study in France from sub-Saharan Africa compares the programmes. If you would rather be guided, Compatri offers Campus France coaching (in French): it is a paid service, and the price is given at the first conversation.
Arriving with the Chadian community
You build the file on your own; arrival is easier with people around you. On Compatri, the Chadian diaspora page brings together Chadian communities city by city, and every 11 August Chad's Independence Day gathers compatriots in the diaspora. Joining the community of your future city is free, even before universities reply. Volunteer mentors from the diaspora also accept connection requests.
Compatri is not a service of Campus France or of the State, and does not replace the official source: only the information from Campus France Chad and the consulate is binding.
