Campus France Togo published its calendar for the 2027-2028 intake back in September. The Études en France platform has been open since 1 October 2026, and two deadlines split applicants: 15 December 2026 for first-year bachelor's, 31 December 2026 for all other connected programmes. This guide follows the journey specific to Togo: the three offices in Lomé and Kara, the recommended criteria, the documents to scan, the 75,000 FCFA fee, the interview, then the visa at Capago and arrival in France. For the platform's general logic, see also our complete guide to Campus France.
Campus France Togo: who does it concern?
The official calendar distinguishes two procedures.
| Your project | Procedure | Calendar |
|---|---|---|
| Bachelor's, BUT, master's, architecture schools, connected engineering schools | Standard application "Je suis candidat" on Études en France | From 1 October to 15 or 31 December 2026 |
| BTS, BTSA, DCG, CPGE, IFSI (nursing) | Parcoursup, then "Je suis accepté" | Pre-consular from 15 May to 31 August 2027 |
| Non-connected private institution | Direct application, then "Je suis accepté" | Pre-consular from 15 May to 31 August 2027 |
The pre-consular window opens at Campus France's request, even for later start dates. One point of method, finally: Campus France Togo reminds applicants that it is the only point of contact for building your project, and warns against private firms and agencies.

Campus France Togo's recommended criteria
Before you even create your account, Campus France Togo invites you to compare your profile with its criteria. They close no doors, but they show where your chances lie.
| Profile | Recommended criteria |
|---|---|
| Final year of secondary, towards first-year bachelor's | No repeated year in secondary school; at least 12/20 average from year 10 to final year, in exams and in the core subjects of the chosen programme |
| Bachelor's and master's | No going back more than one year; at least 12/20 average; transcripts proving 60, 120 or 180 credits before validation for the visa |
| Bachelor's year 3 or master's 1 | Bachelor's completed in at most 4 years in private institutions, 5 years in public universities |
| Capacity building | No age limit; bachelor's with 12/20 average and work experience linked to the programme |
The Campus France Togo procedure in 8 steps
For documents, Campus France Togo publishes a list by level: school reports from the last three years of secondary school, bac 1 and bac 2 transcripts, bachelor's transcripts proving credits, proof of enrolment for the current year. All scanned documents must be originals.
Campus France Togo 2027-2028 dates
| Date | Step |
|---|---|
| 1 October 2026 | Études en France opens, programme choice |
| 15 December 2026 | Submission and payment for first-year bachelor's |
| 31 December 2026 | Submission and payment for other connected programmes |
| Until 15 March 2027 | Interview |
| Until 30 April 2027 | Institutions' answers |
| Until 31 May 2027 | Final choice |
| 15 May to 31 August 2027 | Pre-consular procedure "Je suis accepté" |
Togo thus gives applicants outside first-year bachelor's two weeks more than the national 15 December date. Do not treat it as slack: a file submitted on 30 December and sent back for corrections no longer has time to return. The comparison with other countries is in our Campus France 2027-2028 calendar.
Campus France fees in Togo
The application fee is 75,000 FCFA. The order matters:
Do not pay before the request. The full departure budget, tuition and CVEC (student life contribution) included, is in our article on Campus France fees.
French test: Togolese nationals exempt
Because French is Togo's only official language, Togolese nationals do not have to present a TCF or DELF for the Campus France procedure. An institution may still require one, and an applicant of another nationality living in Togo must check their situation. The country-by-country detail is in our article on the French test for Campus France.
The Campus France interview in Togo
The interview lasts about fifteen minutes with a member of the office's staff, and is scheduled on the platform once the file is validated. It serves to assess how coherent your background and project are, and to report on them to the institutions. Three instructions from Campus France Togo:
Focus your preparation on your studies so far, your study project, your career plan and your motivation. Our guide to the Campus France interview details the typical questions.
Answers, final choice and rejection
Log in often: institutions answer as they go, until 30 April 2027. Campus France Togo advises not to rush and to wait for several positive answers before making your final choice, by 31 May 2027 at the latest. If an institution is slow, contact it directly. If every answer is negative, the procedure ends: our options after a Campus France rejection help you prepare what comes next. Campus France Togo also presents the France Excellence scholarship at its information days.
The student visa from Togo: Capago
Once admitted and holding the prior enrolment certificate issued by Campus France Togo, the visa application follows three steps:
Campus France Togo recommends booking that appointment at least one month before the start of the academic year. The Campus France fee receipt entitles you to a reduced visa fee. Sort out housing and resources early: the consulate expects at least €877.50 per month for applications lodged since 1 August 2026. Our guide to proving your resources lists accepted proofs, and the one on the student visa application covers the whole file. Only the consulate decides on the visa; Campus France Togo points out that false documents lead to refusal and prosecution.
Housing, budget and arrival
Campus France Togo advises arriving 15 days before classes start to settle in, enrol and handle residence permit, health, bank and insurance formalities. Our article on CROUS housing for international students explains how to apply for a residence room, and our comparison of the student budget in Paris, Lyon and Lille helps you put figures on the first year. Scan and back up all your originals before you leave.
Arriving with the Togolese community
You build the file alone; arrival goes better with people around you. On Compatri, the Togolese diaspora page gathers Togolese communities city by city, in France and in Belgium, and every 27 April Togo's Independence Day brings compatriots together in the diaspora. Joining the community of your future city is free, even before universities answer. The group "Étudiants africains" (African students) also connects students from several countries, and our article on African student associations in France presents the local contacts.
Compatri is not a service of Campus France or of the State, and does not replace the official source: only information from Campus France Togo and the consulate is binding.
