On Compatri, everything starts with your community: your country of origin crossed with the city you live in. Cameroonians in Brussels, Senegalese in Paris, Moroccans in Montreal.
Not a group of a thousand people who will never meet, but a neighbourhood. You join it in a few minutes, then see who lives near you and what is being planned this week.
Meetups organised by members
National days, Sunday meals, afterworks: meetups come from the community itself. The exact address of a members' meetup goes only to confirmed attendees.

Messaging without a phone number
You write, send a voice note or call by audio and video, between verified members, without ever giving out your phone number.
Your privacy comes first
Nobody sees your exact position: other members see a point offset by about 300 metres, enough for a neighbourhood, not a street. You can also opt out of proximity search.

Is Compatri free?
Yes for the essentials: sign-up, communities and events cost nothing. The service lives on subscriptions, never on selling your data.
My country or city isn't listed?
Write to us: the country list grows on request. A community also opens as soon as a handful of members ask for it in the same city.
What if I move?
Change your city in your profile and Compatri suggests the matching community. You can keep the old one, since many keep a foot in the city they left.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, on iPhone and Android, with the same account as on the website. You thus find the same communities, conversations and events.
