Your country of origin and your current city are enough. You never publish your address: Compatri thinks in neighbourhoods, not street numbers.

In the first days, Compatri sends you a few emails to get started: join your community, complete your profile, spot the meetups near you.
Each message has a specific goal. If you have already reached it, the email does not go out: nobody will ask you to join a community you just joined.
The series stops on its own after forty-five days. Each email also carries a link to unsubscribe in one click.

Who sees my location?
Nobody sees your exact position. Other members see a point offset by about 300 metres, enough for a neighbourhood, not a street. You can also opt out of proximity search entirely.
My country isn't listed.
Write to us: the country list grows on request, and a community opens as soon as a handful of members ask for it in the same city.
What if I move?
Change your city in your profile and Compatri suggests the matching community. You can stay in the old one, many keep a foot in the city they left.
