Key point. Angola is on the official list of countries under the Études en France procedure, updated by Campus France on 28 September 2026. Campus France Angola has published the DAP window: from 1 October to 15 December 2026 for a first-year bachelor's. It requires B2 French and sworn translations. However, its pages publish neither the fee amount nor the dates for other levels, and several date from past cycles. This guide separates what can be verified from what you need to ask the office.

The DAP from Angola: what is required

For a first-year bachelor's, Campus France Angola describes a six-point procedure:

1check your eligibility: being able to access higher education in your country and understanding enough French for the programme;
2register on Études en France and choose up to three programmes, at one or more universities;
3build the file: valid passport, secondary school transcripts, copy of the diploma (or transcripts if still studying), CV in French, motivation answers;
4let the universities examine the three choices at the same time;
5accept an offer within the deadline;
6apply for the visa: admission does not guarantee a visa, which remains the consulate's decision.

The TCF or DELF at B2 level is mandatory. Exempt are nationals of a country where French is the only official language, those whose secondary education was mostly in French, and holders of the DELF B2 or DALF C1 or C2. Documents not in French must be translated by an official service or a sworn translator; the office advises contacting the Alliances françaises in Angola. Our article on the French test for Campus France details the exams.

For other levels, the old procedure page gives up to seven choices from bachelor's year 2 to master's, and reminds that BTS and preparatory classes go through Parcoursup. Have the office confirm these rules. The national dates are in our Campus France 2027-2028 calendar, and the general logic in our complete guide to Campus France.

The student visa from Angola

After admission and the pre-visa procedure on Études en France, the long-stay visa application is filled in on France-Visas, which shows where to submit. The Campus France Angola visa page mentions the French consular service at 31-33 rua Reverendo Agostinho Pedro Neto, Ingombota, in Luanda, but it is old: it quotes an outdated resources amount. The threshold in force is €877.50 per month. Our guide to proving your resources lists the accepted proofs, and the one on the student visa application the whole file.

What to do for the 2027 intake

1Write to espace.angola@campusfrance.org to get fees, payment method and dates in writing.
2Take the TCF or DELF as soon as possible: no B2, no DAP. If the result arrives after the deadline, Campus France Angola accepts proof of test registration, with the result sent before the interview.
3Have your documents translated by a sworn translator now.
4Look at Portugal too: the Gulbenkian scholarship (in French) funds science master's degrees for graduates from African countries with Portuguese as an official language. Our directory of scholarships open to Angolans (in French) lists the other programmes, with email alerts.
5Pay no intermediary: Campus France works with no agency, and only a consulate decides on a visa. Our article on study scholarship scams gives the warning signs.

The other English- and Portuguese-speaking countries are covered in our guide studying in France from English- and Portuguese-speaking Africa.

Staying connected with the Angolan diaspora

On Compatri, the Angolan diaspora page brings together the communities settled in France city by city, and every 11 November Angola's Independence Day gathers compatriots. The diaspora mentors answer as volunteers, and the Campus France simulator (in French) places a profile free of charge, as an indication.

Compatri is not a Campus France or government service, and does not replace the official source: only the information from Campus France, the French embassy and France-Visas is binding.
