🌍 Africa
The diaspora from Africa gathers dozens of communities, country by country and city by city. Pick your country of origin to find your people.
According to the United Nations, the diaspora from Africa counts 45,000,000 people worldwide.
About 55% of them live in Africa, in another country of the continent, while 45% live elsewhere.
However, the figure counts migrants, not their children born abroad. The real diaspora is therefore larger.
According to the UN, the largest diasporas come from Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, South Sudan, and the DR Congo.
The diaspora from Egypt alone counts 4,720,000 people. Each country of origin also has its own page.
Its main countries of residence are in France, Ivory Coast, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and Sudan. Together, these five countries therefore host about 32% of the diaspora from Africa.
Compatri brings diasporas together where they live. First, you choose the community of your city. Then you discover what its members organise: meals, parties, afterworks or mutual aid. Finally, you message compatriots who share your interests.
You can also host your own meetup: a meal, an outing or a party. It then appears to members of your city, and you follow sign-ups from your account.
Your exact location never appears: other members only see an approximate area. In addition, joining a community and attending events costs nothing.

Choose your country of origin, then your country and city of residence. Next, join the local community, or start it if it is still missing.
No. Joining your community, discovering nearby members and attending events stays free. The Starter and Advanced plans only add features to go further.
