Equatorial Guinea diaspora around the world

According to the United Nations, 136,000 people from Equatorial Guinea live abroad.

However, the figure counts migrants, not their children born abroad. The real diaspora is therefore larger.

94,400 people from Equatorial Guinea live in Gabon, 24,400 Spain, and 9,930 Guinea.

Together, these three countries therefore account for about 95% of the diaspora.

Each country has its own page, with the cities, communities and meetups there.

By continent, the diaspora counts 111,000 people in Africa and 24,400 Europe.

For each continent, a page also gathers the countries and cities where it lives.

Other countries in Africa also have their diaspora on Compatri: Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, South Sudan, and DR Congo. Each page gathers its countries of residence, its cities and its national day.

Compatri brings diasporas together where they live. First, you choose the community of your city. Then you discover what its members organise: meals, parties, afterworks or mutual aid. Finally, you message compatriots who share your interests.

You can also host your own meetup: a meal, an outing or a party. It then appears to members of your city, and you follow sign-ups from your account.

Your exact location never appears: other members only see an approximate area. In addition, joining a community and attending events costs nothing.

Every October 12, the national day brings the Equatorial Guinea diaspora together. Wherever the diaspora lives, communities also organise concerts, meals and gatherings.
