Campus France Benin calendar 2027: pay by 15 November, file by 20 November

In Benin, the Études en France campaign for the 2027 intake sets two close deadlines: 70,000 FCFA to pay before 15 November 2026, first submission before 20 November. Official dates, comparison with last year and a month-by-month plan from October.

The Campus France Benin calendar 2027 comes down to a five-day gap: 15 November 2026, the last day to pay the 70,000 FCFA procedure fee, then 20 November 2026, the last day to submit your file for the first time. On the date of this article, just over six weeks remain. This article gathers the dates published by the Espace Campus France Benin for the September 2027 intake, compares them with the previous cycle and offers a month-by-month plan from October 2026 to your arrival in France. For the full procedure, from recommendation criteria to the visa, start with our Campus France Benin guide.

A word on vocabulary first: Campus France Benin calls this campaign « procédures 2026-2027 » because it runs across those two years. It does prepare the 2027 intake, in other words the 2027-2028 academic year.

Campus France Benin calendar 2027: the official dates

These dates apply to the standard « Je suis candidat » application, the one for programmes connected to the Études en France platform (the online platform of Campus France, the French government agency for international students): schools of architecture, BUT (three-year technology bachelor's), licence (bachelor's), master's and engineering schools.

The Espace's web page showed 15 December for a while for the last submission after corrections, but both the PDF calendar and the official visual Campus France Benin posted on Facebook on 28 September 2026 set 10 December 2026. That is the date that counts. The same visual adds that after 31 May 2027 the campaign is closed for good, and no pending step is accepted.

What has changed since the previous cycle

The calendar for the 2026 intake (2025-2026 campaign) used the same dates for the standard application. The differences lie elsewhere, and one of them matters a lot.

The big change concerns the « Je suis accepté » pre-consular procedure: its deadline moves six weeks earlier, from 31 July to 15 June, deferred intakes included. A student admitted to a BTS (two-year vocational diploma) through Parcoursup (the French higher-education admissions platform) or to a private school can no longer wait until midsummer. To compare these dates with other countries, see our Campus France calendar 2027-2028.

Fees and French test: what the calendar implies

The 70,000 FCFA is paid at a Société Générale du Bénin branch, with your BJ number and an ID document; in Parakou, at Orabank. The fee is not refundable. Then scan the receipt and add it in the « Cursus » section of your file, on an « Autre activité » line titled « quittance de paiement ». Without it, the adviser cannot process the file. The full budget, including tuition fees and the CVEC (the compulsory student life contribution), is in our article on Campus France fees.

Good news for your schedule: Beninese applicants do not need to fit a TCF or DELF (French language tests) in before submitting, since French is Benin's official language. Another deadline does count, though: Campus France Benin requires every school report issued after 2019 to be verifiable on Educmaster. Check this in October, not on the eve of 20 November.

Month-by-month plan from October 2026

Reading this in October? Here is the realistic order.

1October 2026: run the self-assessment with the free CFB Recommandation tool, create your Études en France account (or log back into the old one, without creating a second) and gather your originals. Campus France Benin's free workshops, live sessions and information sessions end on 29 October 2026: use them while they last.
2Early November: choose your programmes, write a specific statement for each, then pay the 70,000 FCFA. Aim for the first week: bank queues grow as the 15th approaches.
3Before 15 November: receipt scanned and attached to the file.
4Before 20 November: first submission. The adviser then checks the file and may ask for corrections.
5Until 10 December: correct quickly and submit for good. Every day lost here delays your interview invitation.
6December 2026 to March 2027: individual interview, originals in hand. Prepare with our guide to the Campus France interview.
7March to May 2027: answers arrive one by one, by email; our article on Campus France answers explains how to read them. Start gathering proof of funds already: 877.50 euros a month for the visa.
8Before 31 May 2027: final choice in « Je suis accepté », download of the API (accord préalable d'inscription, the prior enrolment agreement), then a visit to the Campus France Benin offices in Cotonou to have it signed.
9June to August 2027: France-Visas form, appointment at Capago in Cotonou, file submission; everything is in our guide to the French student visa from Benin.
10September 2027: arrival, then online validation of the visa within three months.

Parcoursup, private schools, Campus Art: the 15 June date

Not every application follows the standard calendar.

  • BTS, BTSA, DCG, CPGE (preparatory classes), IFSI (nursing school): application compulsory on Parcoursup. For reference, in 2026 the wish list was open there from 19 January to 12 March; the 2027 dates are still to be confirmed.
  • Non-connected programmes (private schools) and Campus Art (art, design, architecture): apply directly to the institution or through Campus Art.
  • In all these cases, once admitted, you go through the « Je suis accepté » pre-consular procedure on Études en France. Campus France Benin may then ask for a fee and an interview. Submission deadline: 15 June 2027, deferred intakes included.

After 31 May: the visa calendar

Campus France Benin's calendar ends with the final choice; the visa calendar begins. Three official markers frame it:

  • the API must be signed and stamped by Campus France Benin before the visa application;
  • appointments are booked with Capago, the official visa centre of the French embassy in Benin, and confirmed by an online prepayment within 72 hours;
  • France-Visas advises allowing at least 15 days between lodging a long-stay visa application and departure, a delay that grows in busy periods.

A student who confirms in early May can have the API signed straight away and apply for the visa in June, with room to spare. One who confirms on 31 May and aims for an early-September start is cutting it fine, as summer concentrates the applications.

Four calendar mistakes to avoid

1Mixing up 15 and 20 November: without payment by the 15th, submitting on the 20th is pointless.
2Getting the year wrong: the « 2026-2027 » campaign prepares the September 2027 intake. Last year's covered 2026.
3Counting on 15 December for corrections, when the PDF calendar says the 10th.
4Using a middleman: Campus France Benin explicitly advises against it, and warns that a false document can lead to a visa refusal and prosecution.

Following the calendar with those who lived it

Official dates tell you when; those who did the campaign last year know how long it took to get an interview slot in Cotonou or a Capago appointment in July. On Compatri, the Beninese community of the city where you hope to study brings together students already settled there: find it from the Beninese in France page and join before you leave. The « African students » group also connects, beyond a single city, those preparing the same intake.

Compatri is not a Campus France or government service and does not replace the official source: only the dates published by Campus France Benin are binding.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Campus France Benin deadline for the 2027 intake?

Two dates follow each other: the 70,000 FCFA must be paid by 15 November 2026 at the latest, and the file first submitted by 20 November 2026 at the latest. Corrections requested by the adviser must then be submitted before 10 December 2026 according to the PDF calendar.

How much does Campus France cost in Benin in 2026?

The procedure fee is 70,000 FCFA, non-refundable, to be paid before 15 November 2026 at a Société Générale du Bénin branch, or at Orabank in Parakou, with your BJ number and an ID document. The scanned receipt is then attached to the file.

Until when do Campus France Benin interviews run in 2027?

Academic interviews run until 15 March 2027. You are invited once your file has been checked, and you must bring all the originals of the documents attached. The sooner you correct, the sooner the invitation arrives.

What is the deadline for the « Je suis accepté » procedure in Benin in 2027?

15 June 2027, deferred intakes included. It applies to those admitted through Parcoursup (BTS, CPGE, DCG, IFSI…), Campus Art or a non-connected school. Last year the deadline fell on 31 July, so it moves six weeks earlier.

When do you make the final choice for Campus France Benin in 2027?

By 31 May 2027 at the latest, in the « Je suis accepté » section of Études en France. Then download your prior enrolment agreement and have it signed and stamped at the Campus France Benin offices in Cotonou: without it, no visa application at Capago.
