Qatar diaspora around the world

According to the United Nations, 17,300 people from Qatar live abroad.

However, the figure counts migrants, not their children born abroad. The real diaspora is therefore larger.

9,330 people from Qatar live in Palestine, 2,720 Australia, and 2,500 the United Arab Emirates.

Together, these three countries therefore account for about 84% of the diaspora.

Each country has its own page, with the cities, communities and meetups there.

By continent, the diaspora counts 11,800 people in Asia, 2,720 Oceania, and 1,590 Africa.

For each continent, a page also gathers the countries and cities where it lives.

Other countries in Asia also have their diaspora on Compatri: India, Syria, China, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Each page gathers its countries of residence, its cities and its national day.

Compatri brings diasporas together where they live. First, you choose the community of your city. Then you discover what its members organise: meals, parties, afterworks or mutual aid. Finally, you message compatriots who share your interests.

You can also host your own meetup: a meal, an outing or a party. It then appears to members of your city, and you follow sign-ups from your account.

Your exact location never appears: other members only see an approximate area. In addition, joining a community and attending events costs nothing.

Every December 18, the national day brings the Qatar diaspora together. Wherever the diaspora lives, communities also organise concerts, meals and gatherings.
