How many people from Mali live in Africa?

According to the United Nations, 1,110,000 people from Mali live in Africa.

In total, 1,290,000 people from Mali live abroad, and about 86% of them live in Africa.

However, the figure counts migrants, not their children born here. The real community is therefore larger.

Where to meet people from Mali in Africa

No community for people from Mali exists in Africa on Compatri yet. However, one first member is enough to open one in their city.

As soon as a community starts, its meetups show up on the events page, with the date, the venue and the number of attendees.

Joining the Mali community in Africa

Compatri brings diasporas together where they live. First, you choose the community of your city. Then you discover what its members organise: meals, parties, afterworks or mutual aid. Finally, you message compatriots who share your interests.

You can also host your own meetup: a meal, an outing or a party. It then appears to members of your city, and you follow sign-ups from your account.

Your exact location never appears: other members only see an approximate area. In addition, joining a community and attending events costs nothing.

Mali Independence Day in Africa

Every September 22, the national day brings the Mali diaspora together. Locally too, communities organise concerts, meals and gatherings.
