How many people from Cuba live in the Americas?

According to the United Nations, 1,600,000 people from Cuba live in the Americas.

In total, 1,870,000 people from Cuba live abroad, and about 86% of them live in the Americas.

However, the figure counts migrants, not their children born here. The real community is therefore larger.

Where to meet people from Cuba in the Americas

No community for people from Cuba exists in the Americas on Compatri yet. However, one first member is enough to open one in their city.

As soon as a community starts, its meetups show up on the events page, with the date, the venue and the number of attendees.

Joining the Cuba community in the Americas

Compatri brings diasporas together where they live. First, you choose the community of your city. Then you discover what its members organise: meals, parties, afterworks or mutual aid. Finally, you message compatriots who share your interests.

You can also host your own meetup: a meal, an outing or a party. It then appears to members of your city, and you follow sign-ups from your account.

Your exact location never appears: other members only see an approximate area. In addition, joining a community and attending events costs nothing.

Cuban Liberation Day in the Americas

Every January 1, the national day brings the Cuba diaspora together. Locally too, communities organise concerts, meals and gatherings.
