Central African Republic diaspora in Republic of the Congo

According to the United Nations, 32,300 people from the Central African Republic live in Republic of the Congo.

Therefore Republic of the Congo ranks number 5 among the destinations of the Central African Republic diaspora.

In total, 904,000 people from Central African Republic live abroad, and about 4% of them live in Republic of the Congo.

However, the figure counts migrants, not their children born here. The real community is therefore larger.

No community for people from Central African Republic exists in Republic of the Congo on Compatri yet. However, one first member is enough to open one in their city.

As soon as a community starts, its meetups show up on the events page, with the date, the venue and the number of attendees.

Compatri follows cities such as Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire, and each one can host its community.

There, the largest diasporas also come from the DR Congo, Angola, Mali, Rwanda, and Benin, according to the UN. Each one has its own page on Compatri, with its cities and meetups.

Compatri brings diasporas together where they live. First, you choose the community of your city. Then you discover what its members organise: meals, parties, afterworks or mutual aid. Finally, you message compatriots who share your interests.

You can also host your own meetup: a meal, an outing or a party. It then appears to members of your city, and you follow sign-ups from your account.

Your exact location never appears: other members only see an approximate area. In addition, joining a community and attending events costs nothing.

Every December 1, the national day brings the Central African Republic diaspora together. Locally too, communities organise concerts, meals and gatherings.
