🇨🇲 Cameroon
People from Cameroon in France meet here, city by city. Each community is a neighbourhood, not a crowd, so if yours is missing, start it.
According to the United Nations, 128,000 people from Cameroon live in France.
As a result, France hosts the largest community from Cameroon outside the country.
In total, 400,000 people from Cameroon live abroad, and about 32% of them live in France.
However, the figure counts migrants, not their children born here. The real community is therefore larger.
On Compatri, people from Cameroon already meet in Paris.
Each community brings together members of the same city, so you meet neighbours rather than a crowd.
In total, 2 members take part.
There, the largest diasporas also come from Algeria, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia, and Italy, according to the UN. Each one has its own page on Compatri, with its cities and meetups.
Compatri brings diasporas together where they live. First, you choose the community of your city. Then you discover what its members organise: meals, parties, afterworks or mutual aid. Finally, you message compatriots who share your interests.
You can also host your own meetup: a meal, an outing or a party. It then appears to members of your city, and you follow sign-ups from your account.
Your exact location never appears: other members only see an approximate area. In addition, joining a community and attending events costs nothing.
Every May 20, the national day brings the Cameroon diaspora together. Locally too, communities organise concerts, meals and gatherings.
According to the UN, about 128,000 people from Cameroon live in France. Their children born here do not count in this figure.
On Compatri, you will find them in Paris, for example. Each city has its own community, members and meetups.
Join the community of your city on Compatri, then attend the meetups its members organise. You can also host your own event.
According to the UN, the largest ones come from Algeria, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia, and Italy.
Cameroon National Day falls on May 20. In France too, the diaspora celebrates it every year.
No. Joining your community, discovering nearby members and attending events stays free. The Starter and Advanced plans only add features to go further.
Elsewhere, the Cameroon diaspora also lives in Nigeria, Gabon, and Canada. Each country has its own page, with its cities and meetups.
