How many people from Barbados live abroad?
According to the United Nations, 14,700 people from Barbados live abroad.
However, the figure counts migrants, not their children born abroad. The real diaspora is therefore larger.

Finding people from Barbados near you
Compatri brings diasporas together where they live. First, you choose the community of your city. Then you discover what its members organise: meals, parties, afterworks or mutual aid. Finally, you message compatriots who share your interests.
You can also host your own meetup: a meal, an outing or a party. It then appears to members of your city, and you follow sign-ups from your account.
Your exact location never appears: other members only see an approximate area. In addition, joining a community and attending events costs nothing.
Barbados Independence Day
Every November 30, the national day brings the Barbados diaspora together. Wherever the diaspora lives, communities also organise concerts, meals and gatherings.
